Join Our Team as an Assistant Manager in Canterbury


Location: Canterbury, Kent


Salary: £28,000 per annum


Are you an experienced Assistant Manager ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of autistic adults? Homersham is a modern supported living development just outside Canterbury, and we're looking for a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team and hit the ground running!


About Us


Welcome to Homersham, a spacious modern building comprising seven high-spec flats and bed sits designed to meet the unique needs of autistic adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide exceptional care and support in a community setting.


Your Role

  1. Collaborate with the onsite Supported Living Manager and Team Leaders to recruit, retain, and develop staff.
  2. Provide regular supervisions and competency assessments, working closely with the QA team and Operations Manager.
  3. Lead one of three teams, providing support and oversight to all team members.
  4. Build positive and engaging relationships with tenants, families, staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  5. Ensure continuity and consistency in the quality of care.

About You

  1. An experienced Assistant Manager with strong supervisory skills and a coaching mindset.
  2. Prior experience in the adult social care sector, ideally with autism or learning disabilities.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  4. IT literacy and confidence with digital systems.
  5. A driver comfortable with driving company vehicles, including a small minibus.
  6. Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
