Job description

A Commercial Catering Engineer is required for a client based on the South Coast near Brighton. The client is a leading commercial catering equipment company supplying the catering, hospitality, and public sectors. They offer full turnkey solutions, including service, maintenance, repairs, and installations on all types of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment. This role has arisen due to continued demand and new contracts.

Position Overview

The Commercial Catering Engineer will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, and breakdown support for catering equipment, including fryers, ovens, microwaves, and steamers. The engineer will attend sites across East Anglia, such as restaurants, hotels, schools, and bars. Candidates must have Comcat qualifications (such as Comcat 1, 3, and 5) or electrical catering experience.

Requirements

• Comcat 1, 3, and 5 qualifications
• Experience working on electrical catering equipment
• Reside within East Anglia (covering Norfolk and Suffolk)
• Industry experience in commercial catering equipment
• Experience in electrical and gas catering equipment repair and maintenance
• Experience with Rational ovens and dishwashers (advantageous)
• Full UK driving license

Remuneration

• Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 depending on experience
• 40-hour workweek
• Door-to-door travel paid
• Call-out rota (1 in 6 weeks) with paid retainer
• Company van (for personal use) and fuel card
• Overtime at 1.5x and 2x rates
• 21 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after 3 years, plus bank holidays
