We are recruiting for a Customer Consultant to work at our Harrogate and Wetherby branches.
The role of Customer Consultant includes engaging in conversations to find out our customers’ needs, providing information about our full savings range, products, and services. By really listening and getting to know our customers, you will help them review their circumstances and goals while providing straightforward, helpful service that lets your enthusiasm and professionalism shine.

In branch, we support customers face-to-face, virtually, and through outbound contact, reaching our customers at relevant times. Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome customers in-branch and over the phone, making a positive first impression.
Engage and Understand: Ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customer needs, providing tailored solutions.
Listen and Tailor Solutions: Offer personalized solutions based on each customer’s circumstances.
Proactive Outreach: Reach out to customers over the phone to identify needs and discuss support options.
Maintain Accurate Records: Use internal systems to keep customer records up-to-date, focusing on vulnerable customers.
Adhere to Policies: Understand and follow policies, standards, and controls, supported by comprehensive training.
Previous experience interacting with customers, in person or over the phone. Experience in banking or building society is not mandatory.
Experience in retail, food & beverage, guest services, health/care sectors, or similar, demonstrating a passion for exceptional service.
Ability to work well with others and have a ‘one-team’ mindset.
Ability to react quickly during busy periods and manage time effectively.
Desire and ability to grow, adapt, and change with business needs.
The role is permanent, working 30 hours weekly across Monday to Saturday. Exact hours will be discussed at interview; we are looking for someone to work 4 full days plus Saturday mornings.
The salary is £23,600 per annum, pro-rated for 30 hours, which amounts to £19,665.88.
The role will be at both Harrogate and Wetherby branches as needed.
