National Grid is hiring a Senior Tech Security Analyst on a permanent basis. The location for this role can be based in Warwick or London. We offer a hybrid working model.

Job Purpose

As a Senior Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) Engineer, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of Network Security capabilities within the NSOC. Your activities will include incident, change, and problem management, along with seeking opportunities to enhance the NSOC's capabilities and workflows. Collaborating with stakeholders to optimize Network Security and improve security posture is key. This position may require you to field calls outside of regular hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather requirements, assess risks, and implement firewall changes to meet business demands.
  • Triage connectivity issues and implement configuration changes as needed.
  • Provide guidance on operating, maintaining, and enhancing Network Security capabilities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure services meet requirements.
  • Cross-train with team members for professional development.
  • Identify trends and execute remediation plans for recurring incidents.
About You
  • A degree in Cyber Security or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with security technologies like Palo Alto and Cisco ASA.
  • Experience with incident and change management in large enterprise environments.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and optimize network security capabilities.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, cloud infrastructure, routing, firewalls, IDS, encryption, load balancing, and other network devices.
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCIE Security, Checkpoint CCSE/CCSM, Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 201/401, Zscaler ZDTA/ZTCA are a plus.
What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £55,000 and £70,000, dependent on capability.
