About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is essential for delivering excellent Customer Service. You will be a key team member, contributing towards achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click and collect orders, and developing sound customer relationships.

Main duties include:

1. Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximizing sales where possible.
2. Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
3. Assist the sales team with product promotions by answering telephone and electronic queries as needed.
4. Fully satisfy customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
5. Check customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
6. Contribute to a positive team performance while working on personal benchmarks to optimize sales of product promotions.
7. Utilize the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
8. Keep customer-facing areas of the branch clean and tidy.
9. Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
10. Promote a positive image of the company by representing our values and maintaining a professional appearance.
11. Work towards achieving relevant KPIs.

Working hours:

Average hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

1. Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
2. Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Positive approach to customer queries, proactively seeking resolutions.
5. Confident user of IT and computer systems.
6. Ability to work well with others.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
9. Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
