Job Title: Events Executive - 12 month FTC

Location: Remote - based in UK or Europe

Department: Marketing

Position reports to: Events Manager

Salary: £30-£35K DOE

Purpose:

Climate Bonds is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Events Executive to support our events team in organizing and executing our global annual events. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and passionate about event planning.

Events are a key marketing and communication channel for Climate Bonds, offering a platform for direct engagement with senior decision-makers in the Sustainable Finance sphere. The Climate Bonds CONNECT series has grown significantly, hosting influential events worldwide in cities like London, New York, Mumbai, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and São Paulo.

Working with the Event Manager and the wider marketing and communications team, the Event Executive will engage with external stakeholders, including high-level speakers and sponsors, as well as internal teams.

The primary responsibilities include administrative and production support for the annual CONNECT series and smaller events, which may be in-person or online.

This role is suitable for entry-level candidates with at least one year's experience, preferably in corporate events. It requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with digital event tools, and a willingness to learn and develop.

Key Relationships:
  • Report directly to the Event Manager
  • Engage with event sponsors during sponsorship deals
  • Collaborate with multiple Climate Bonds teams
  • Work with external stakeholders such as sponsors, speakers, delegates, and third-party vendors
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, including venue research, vendor management, menu planning, and entertainment bookings
  • Coordinate event logistics, speaker and sponsor engagement, audio-visual setup, and venue arrangements
  • Manage digital event platforms and update website content regularly
  • Develop event marketing materials and outreach strategies with the marketing team
  • Serve as a point of contact for attendees, vendors, and sponsors, providing excellent customer service
  • Manage event registration and communication with attendees
  • Support on-site and online event management, including setup, registration, and teardown
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback
  • Assist in creating event proposals and sponsorship packages as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Events, Marketing, or related field
  • At least one year of experience in event planning within a corporate environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours for events
