Role: Mechanical Project Manager
Company Overview:
My client, a well respected M&E Contractor based in Wolverhampton, is recruiting for a Mechanical (HVAC) Project Manager to join their team. This family run business has been established over 30 years and covers sectors including healthcare, MOD, MOJ and education.
Job Overview:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Projects typically range in value from £10k up to £10m.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and manage mechanical projects from start to finish.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
• Manage project resources and ensure their efficient utilization.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Monitor project progress and take corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the management team.
• Manage project finances and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Qualifications:
As the successful Mechanical Project Manager, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years previous HVAC Management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget in similar sectors. You will also have e xcellent communication and interpersonal skills with s trong leadership and team management skills. The role offers the opportunity to work within a hard working but friendly team and as such, you will be someone who is a team player.
