The Company

Our client designs, manufactures, and installs bespoke high-value projects for FMCG markets. Their systems include a wide range of mechanical process equipment, electrical, and control systems.

With over 300 years of operation and significant growth in the past decade—expanding from 120 to over 200 staff and tripling turnover—they are now looking to expand their service and after-sales offerings. These include fabrication, maintenance, repair, spares, automation software support, and wider process support. They have ambitious growth plans for this division.

The Role

The Head of Service & Repair will have the unique opportunity to build a business unit from scratch. Responsibilities include:

1. Defining the aftermarket services offering and building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
2. Establishing organizational structure, best practices, and growth plans with KPIs.
3. Managing and expanding the spares and service support team, including recruiting for the field service team.
4. Raising the profile of Service & Repair internally and externally, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
5. Customizing services for larger customers based on their needs.
6. Engaging with customers to discuss and develop service and after-sales offerings.
