Job Opportunity: Specialist TIG Welder

We are currently seeking a skilled SPECIALIST TIG Welder for one of our established clients in Walsall.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates proficient in both TIG and MIG welding to join a growing business on a permanent basis.

Job Overview:

We need an experienced welder familiar with MIG and TIG welding processes, capable of working with stainless steel and alloy materials up to 50 mm thickness. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards, working to coded specifications. This is a permanent role, subject to a 3-month trial period.

Key Details:
  1. 4-day work week with Mondays off; day shifts.
  2. Experience in industries such as petrochemical, nuclear, and heavy industries is preferred.
  3. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding.
  4. Familiar with quality standards such as ASME IX & BSEN ISO, and able to ensure welds meet these standards.
  5. Experience working to x-ray standard work and completing all necessary documentation.
  6. Knowledge of GTAW & GMAW/FCAW welding processes.
  7. Strong mechanical background, with understanding of machinery and equipment used in welding.
  8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  9. Competent in welding stainless steels, nickel alloys (5-50mm), and aluminium alloys (5-50mm).
