What will I be doing?

1. Demonstrating leadership in health & safety, ensuring all engineering and maintenance activities comply with Kerry Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and legal requirements.
2. Leading a high-performing engineering team through effective leadership, coaching, people management, development, and succession planning.
3. Creating maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to team members and contractors.
4. Conducting site inspections and identifying areas requiring maintenance.
5. Performing minor on-site repairs and being hands-on when necessary.
6. Scheduling contractors for major repairs.
7. Communicating maintenance concerns with other teams and areas of the business.
8. Remaining on-call to respond to emergency maintenance needs.
9. Developing maintenance contracts, managing budgets, and negotiating vendor contracts.
10. Monitoring and controlling inventory.
11. Coordinating work performed by outside vendors and contractors.
12. Managing Stores and Systems (CMMS).

What do I need to be successful?

We seek candidates with the right competencies, proven success in similar roles, and relevant experience. Key requirements include:

• HNC or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in engineering or maintenance.
• Experience managing contracts and ensuring value for money.
• Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening and translating complex information.
• Organizational skills for scheduling and emergency response.
• Attention to detail to prevent minor issues from escalating.
