Are you passionate about supporting individuals with mental health conditions? Our care home offers 24-hour specialist nursing care for adults with complex physical and mental health needs. As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you’ll be a key member of our care team, ensuring that each resident feels safe, supported, and valued.

What You’ll Do

• Provide tailored care to residents with mental health conditions, promoting emotional well-being and a sense of security.
• Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging independence.
• Follow individualized care plans, offering personalized support.
• Recognize and respond to changes in residents’ mental well-being, reporting concerns appropriately.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Encourage social interactions and participation in activities.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment, responding to concerns or emergencies.
• Assist with meals and hydration needs.
• Bring a compassionate presence to the home, positively impacting residents’ lives.

About You

• Experience: Minimum 6 months working with individuals with mental health conditions, preferably in a care setting.
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Passion: Dedication to supporting mental health and enhancing quality of life.
• Skills: Strong communication, patience, and relationship-building abilities.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
