Are you an experienced carer or someone considering a job change to make a difference to people with physical disabilities? Sometimes simple help like brushing hair or fetching a drink can significantly impact someone with chronic arthritis and other health issues. Community outings are enjoyable and rewarding. We are recruiting for our care team in Newcastle under Lyme, Clayton, in a friendly environment that values staff and respects work-life balance.

You will receive:

• £12.50 per hour
• A pension if eligible
• 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata annual leave
• Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
• All work is fully contracted in compliance with UK employment laws
• Access to apply for a blue light card

Hours available:

36 hours per week, contracted. 9:00 pm - 9:00 am, on a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule.

Overtime is available but optional and always appreciated.

Requirements:

• Experience in care is essential; full training provided. A compassionate personality and comfort working around friendly dogs are necessary.
• A full clean UK driving license is essential for assisting in community access using insured personal transport.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required; employer covers the cost unless you have a subscription to The Update Service.
• Shadowing by experienced staff until comfortable working independently.
