At the North West Ambulance Service, we are dedicated to delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right place, every time. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Portfolio Delivery Manager to join our PMO team. This role involves driving the successful delivery of a range of projects and initiatives as part of our strategic change programme.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives and Annual Plan.
2. Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of complex initiatives, including operational improvements and large-scale strategic change projects.
3. Manage projects across Digital, Estates, Workforce, and Service Delivery Portfolios, often involving high-profile and high-risk projects with complex stakeholder environments.
4. Oversee the portfolio lifecycle from planning to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
5. Lead the PMO delivery team, collaborating with operational and corporate departments, and facilitating change management processes.
6. Support the Head of PMO, including forward planning and resource allocation, and participate in the PMO Senior Management Team.
7. Demonstrate extensive NHS environment experience to ensure effective change management in line with policies and procedures.
8. Report and present monthly updates on the strategic portfolio to the Trust’s Corporate Programme Board, engaging with NHS trust executives.
9. Maintain the trust portfolio roadmap, highlighting key milestones and project statuses to provide oversight and strategic alignment.
