This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to support the development of our Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC), which aims to address health inequalities by building research evidence around wider determinants of health. The team is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is led collaboratively by the County Council with partners from local universities.
We are seeking a Research & Insight Manager to enhance our knowledge mobilisation capacity. Your role will involve working with the HDRC team at Leicestershire County Council and collaborating with partner universities, voluntary sectors, and communities. You will help achieve project milestones over a 5-year plan, aiming to reduce health inequalities.
Your responsibilities include developing and implementing a knowledge mobilisation strategy to ensure research is driven by local needs, and findings are disseminated and integrated into service delivery and policy-making for tangible impact. You will work with the wider HDRC team, local communities, voluntary sectors, and universities to identify research priorities, design, plan, bid for, and execute research projects, maximizing their impact.
You will support activities across six pillars of culture change: Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation, Data, Governance and Infrastructure, Research Training and Skills Development, Collaboration with anchor institutions, Monitoring, Evaluation and Improvement, and Knowledge Mobilisation.
