About the role:

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Wheatley Sewage Treatment team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.

You will be part of the frontline operations team covering sewage treatment sites.

This is an essential front-line role that the business cannot operate without. You will work in all weather conditions, performing various tasks to ensure our wastewater treatment works operate effectively, maintaining supply to customers and protecting the environment. Maintenance of equipment (PPM) is also part of the role.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician

1. Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment to improve resilience.
2. Operating and cleaning plant to meet safety and operational standards.
3. Responding to reactive jobs following equipment failure.
4. Keeping sites clean and conducting safety and security checks.
5. Working safely and following all health and safety procedures.

Base Location: Wheatley STW - OX33 1JH

Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities (additional pay).

We are looking for you to:

• Be self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, and have a can-do attitude.
• Respond quickly to faults, understand problems, and resolve them effectively.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be a team player.
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements.
• Be willing to undergo safety training.
• Have knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Hold a full UK driver’s license.
