About the role:

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Wheatley Sewage Treatment team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.

You will be part of the frontline operations team that covers the sewage treatment sites.

This role is essential, and the business cannot operate without you. Every day is different; you will work in all weather conditions, carrying out a range of tasks to ensure our wastewater treatment works operate efficiently, maintaining supply and protecting the environment. This includes PPM of equipment to support plant operation.

There has never been a better time to join us as we build towards a greener future, tackling climate change, minimizing environmental impact, and reducing our carbon footprint.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician:
  1. Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance on plant and equipment in compliance with standards to improve resilience.
  2. Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to maintain operational and safety standards.
  3. Attending to reactive jobs following equipment failure.
  4. Keeping sites clean and undertaking safety and security checks.
  5. Working safely and complying with health and safety procedures.

Location: Wheatley STW - OX33 1JH

We are looking for:
  • A self-motivated individual eager to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Someone proactive, responsible, and with good communication skills.
  • Must be prepared for safety training and hold a full UK driver’s license.
What’s in it for you?
  • Starting salary from £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 24 days holiday, increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays.
  • Contributory pension scheme up to 12% with 2x employee contribution.
  • Annual personal medical assessments.
  • Access to our benefits hub with offers to support wellbeing.
