Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist, based in Leamington Spa, on a full-time permanent basis. This role will provide quality control support to the manufacturing process, using analytical techniques.

The Company:
Our client is a leading recycling specialist company, offering their services to polymer industries.

Location:
The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Northampton, Lutterworth, Rushden, Rugby, Coventry, and Birmingham.

Your duties and responsibilities will involve:

1. Be a key part of the technical team to support and oversee QC and technical functions.
2. Help build, specify, and run a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory.
3. Utilise GC-MS and other analytical data to identify and quantify contaminants, determine safe levels based on published and generated data, develop methods, and train operators.
4. Provide technical guidance on process adjustments and improvements.
5. Support innovative research into recycled materials for food use applications.

Your Background:

• BSc in Chemistry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of analytical techniques, especially GC-MS, GC-FID, LC-MS.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and standards.
• Experience with laboratory competence procedures and controls.
