The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a strong deep learning background to build industry-leading Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.

Key job responsibilities:

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance multi-modal AGI models, focusing on speech generation.
• Leverage Amazon’s data sources and computing resources to build Machine Learning models for speech generation.
• Summarize complex data and models with clear visual and written explanations, demonstrating pragmatic technical leadership.

About the team:

The AGI team aims to push the boundaries of GenAI with LLMs and multimodal systems to enhance customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD, or a Master’s degree with experience in CS, CE, ML, or related fields.
• Experience with patents or publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed/high-performance computing.
• Experience building machine learning models for business applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using Unix/Linux.
• Experience in professional software development.
