About The Role & Who We’re Scouting

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. Reporting into the Facilities Manager, you’ll play a key role in the maintenance and upkeep of the Club's world-class Seagrave training facility, maintaining the highest of quality and standards of work whilst enjoying a varied role with sizeable scope.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

To undertake reactive maintenance tasks as required and in conjunction with the online Helpdesk to ensure the site remains operational.
To take a proactive approach to maintenance and repair work, reporting any issues and rectifying them where possible.
Performs a wide variety of general and skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing. etc.) to support the activity and operations within the Training Ground.
Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks as agreed, with the Facilities Manager to ensure that the building is compliant with relevant legislation and is maintained in a good state of repair.
Liaise with external contractors, ensure they are fully inducted in site operations, monitored on site and the quality of work is inspected after completion.
Assists other members of the maintenance team with projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner.
Monitor the building management systems (BMS, Lighting Control etc.) to ensure they are operational and working efficiently in line with operational needs.
Carry out regular checks and maintenance of the Hydrotherapy Pool to ensure it is maintained to an acceptable standard.
Carry out statutory H&S checks, for example regular testing of emergency systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting etc.) legionella monitoring, maintaining accurate records of evidence including log books and electronic databases or systems.
Monitor and maintain stock levels for the maintenance department and replenish supplies in accordance with current financial regulations.
Assisting staff and visitors with enquires in a friendly and effective manner, proactively developing and maintaining high standards of customer care.
Ensuring the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained by carrying out routine and other cleaning tasks when required.
To provide event support in the way of set up and take down of equipment and furniture.
Transporting inter-site deliveries around the Clubs sites as required.
To respond to out-of-hour emergencies on rota basis.
The ideal candidate will have significant practical experience working within an associated industry, have attained the appropriate qualifications and meet the necessary criteria on the job description to be considered.
