Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex Defence projects from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and budget tracking.
• Monitor project performance, report on progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary to meet project goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives.
• Coordinate with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage project documentation, including technical specifications, compliance reports, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure projects adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards specific to the Defence industry.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise project processes and outcomes.
  
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience in project management, preferably within the Defence, Aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Defence product development processes, engineering principles, and quality management systems.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
