About The Role

The National Fire & Building Safety Officer's role is to support the Building Compliance Manager in ensuring the safety of buildings, primarily for occupants of multi-occupied residential buildings, in compliance with Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. The role involves working in an environment that provides comprehensive, quality housing services, support, and resettlement for people experiencing homelessness.

This position is within the Building Compliance team, responsible for managing information related to the design, construction, and maintenance of high-rise residential buildings, and maintaining technical documentation related to landlord requirements.

This role is home-based with travel across Salvation Army Homes sites nationwide; a valid full UK driving license is essential. Ideally, the candidate will be based in the Midlands, as the role covers the entire country.
