Safety Officer

Salary: £30,796 - £35,495 Pro Rata
Location: Home-based UK

The role

We are looking for a Safety Officer to support the development of our new community model where we will be collaborating with local partners and expanding our volunteer network. This role will oversee our health and safety practices, developing policies, providing training, and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.

What you'll do

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
  2. Act as the main point of contact for all health and safety queries
  3. Conduct and support regular risk assessments across all work streams
  4. Role model and support good health and safety practices

What you'll need

  1. Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles
  2. Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles
  5. A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position)
