The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Leading Nuclear Defence Client

Key responsibilities include:

• Collate pre-tender infrastructure estimates and cost planning.
• Prepare cost input for Monthly Reports to client and Project Management
• Review and develop cost plans produced by subcontractors.
• Support in contract negotiation and minimize variance.
• Maintain control baselines for costs and profitability with periodic updates.
• Identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in compiling cost control procedures.
• Monitor and report on subcontract costs and future trends.
• Prepare forecasts of future costs and review subcontractor claims
• Evaluate subcontract claims up to delegated financial authority.
• Input into business case generation and spend profiles.
• Utilize tools to support project forecasting, including Earned Value
• Perform any other duties as required.

What you need to succeed:

• MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent preferred.
• Working towards RICS chartership.
• No nuclear obligations
• Demonstrable quantity surveying experience in a construction environment,
• NEC contracting experience.
