The EY Financial Services AI & Data team is growing and developing unique advisory propositions aligned to market needs. We support the Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) vision for an ecosystem with Data, AI, and emerging technology at its core. We seek an exceptional Senior Manager with strong AI & Data solution design, implementation, and consulting experience in the Life and Pensions sector to join our leadership team and contribute to this mission both locally and globally. The opportunity

The AI & Data practice collaborates with clients to solve complex business problems through data and analytics strategies and solutions. We focus on three core areas:

1. Data Architecture & Engineering: Designing and implementing next-generation data solutions.
2. Data Management & Strategy: Supporting Data Strategy, Governance, and Data Office functions.
3. Advanced Analytics and AI: Infusing automated insights into critical processes.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead delivery on Life and Pensions transformation programs, including architecture scoping, business case development, data analysis, solution design, and implementation management. Engage with senior client leaders and represent EY during delivery.
• Support engagement delivery, foster relationships within EY and with clients, and develop capabilities through training and mentorship.
• Develop our Life and Pensions AI and Data market propositions, bringing expertise in cloud-based data solutions, sector knowledge, and client engagement.
• Build and lead high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring team members.
• Drive business development, including RFP responses and thought leadership in the market.
• Represent EY in the local Financial Services ecosystem, collaborating with clients, FinTechs, and Universities to position Scotland as a leader in Financial Services.

Skills and attributes for success

• Proven experience in developing new business within a consulting environment, with a collaborative approach and ownership mindset.

Minimum qualifications

• Leadership experience in data-led transformations in Life and Pensions sectors.
• Advanced knowledge in Data Architecture & Engineering, Data Management & Strategy, or Advanced Analytics.
• Expertise in data requirements and project design.
• Experience in business development and market engagement, including RFPs and thought leadership.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
• Awareness of cloud-based data platforms and AI trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, client expectations, and project risks.
• Analytical skills to understand complex problems and develop solutions.
