Job description

Location - Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire

Salary - £36,659 - £49,250 plus excellent benefits and career progression

We are looking for permanent Commercial Engineers/Estimators to join our busy Lighting and Grid Department.

Main Responsibilities of the role

1. Issuing quotes, following up on all issued quotes, and collating information for effective review of competitive positioning.
2. Acting as an escalation point for complaints from key customers, ensuring they are handled correctly and in line with company policy.
3. Managing major customer relationships and negotiating win-win deals.
4. Supporting an environment that promotes rapid and continuous improvement and the development of high-performing teams.
5. Proactively taking ownership of all Safety, Health, and Environmental issues related to work and their impact on ourselves and others.
6. Managing projects, including procurement, invoicing, and chasing debt.

What we need from you

• Full UK drivers’ license.
• An understanding of DNO and IDNO electrical networks.
• Experience in a commercial environment with a track record of developing key customer relationships.
• Good negotiation skills.
• A proven track record of delivering sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Understanding of key issues and challenges related to New Connections.
