Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic Healthcare offers an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant - Bank to join our growing team.

The Healthcare Assistant facilitates client visits and supports healthcare providers by anticipating and responding to client needs and requests. They coordinate details of patient visits, allowing care providers to focus on patient care. As part of the clinical team, they share responsibility for treatment rooms and routine nursing duties. The role receives direction from Providers and the Line Manager and works cooperatively with medical secretaries, receptionists, allied health staff, healthcare providers, vendors, and clients. Maintaining effective relationships within and outside the clinic is essential.

Mayo Clinic Healthcare is based in central London, providing diagnostic and outpatient care in specialties including Cardiology, Endoscopy, Gastrointestinal, Neurology, Orthopedic, Imaging, Executive Health Screening, and Private GP services.

Applicants must have authorization to work in the UK; no relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare assistant experience in a clinical setting
• NVQ in health and social care or equivalent experience
• The Care Certificate
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Experience with peripheral cannulation and phlebotomy
• Specimen management skills
• Competence in vital signs measurement and NEWS2 escalation
• Effective communication with patients and relatives
• Ability to develop professional relationships with patients, carers, and colleagues
• Computer literacy
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Maintaining confidentiality
