Job summary

British American Tobacco UK is seeking a Technologist E-Liquids (1 year fixed-term contract) in Southampton to support e-liquid product development and capabilities. You will work in the lab and pilot plant to drive quality control and product safety for e-liquids, collaborating with internal teams and analyzing production reports.

Ideal candidates will have a BSc in Chemistry or Biochemistry, laboratory experience with e-liquids, and strong planning, data management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• University degree (at least BSc) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or associated field.
• Experience with e-liquid formulation preferred.
• Experience with sample preparation and hazardous materials management.

Responsibilities

• Formulate e-liquid formulations in response to technical challenges for continuous improvement.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests of products according to QC standards using pH meter, NIR, density, viscosity, flash point meters.
• Plan short- and long-term management of all e-liquids formulation requests using formal project management tools.
• Operate in a team to meet company safety, security, environmental, quality, accuracy and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments as required.
• Participate in job safety analysis and maintain good housekeeping and PPE compliance.
• Support the laboratory ISO quality management system and audits.
• Follow and promote Quality procedures and standards to enable the business to achieve and maintain excellent results.
