Job summary

Insight Employment are seeking a proactive and hands-on E‑Commerce Warehouse Team Leader for a fast-growing FMCG importer and e-commerce business near Nether Heyford, Northampton.

You will lead by example, supervise daily operations, and drive accuracy, efficiency and safety across multi-channel fulfilment. The role requires 2 years warehouse experience with 1 year supervisory, WMS/PDA experience, and a flexible, process-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 2 years warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 1 year supervisory or team leader experience.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience using PDA/scanners.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Flexible and process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse operatives to achieve daily KPIs and operational targets.
• Supervise daily operations in your allocated department.
• Manage and prioritise workload to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders.
• Maintain and promote a culture of Health & Safety on shift.
• Ensure all tasks follow SOPs and contribute to their creation/review.
• Use WMS and PDA/scanner devices to monitor inventory and performance.
• Support MHE management, safety checks, and maintenance.
• Monitor KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Champion 5S and Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Buying and eCommerce to resolve issues.
