Job summary

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is seeking Warehouse Operatives to join Terminal E on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. The role supports cargo, import and e-commerce operations and offers opportunities for permanent progression.

You’ll handle freight with care, work as part of a close-knit team, and contribute to safe, efficient movement of goods. You must be able to work 40 hours per week and be prepared for a 24/7 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to airlines and partners.
• Receive and process imported freight from aircraft.
• Break down palletised freight and load freight trailers.
• Conduct visual inspections and report any damage or tampering.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and comply with health & safety regulations.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and ensure equipment is ready for operation.
• Assist across departments as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to airlines and associated partners
• Receive and process imported freight from aircraft
• Break down palletised freight safely and efficiently
• Load freight trailers and support sortation operations
• Conduct visual inspections of freight and report any damage or tampering
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely, adhering to all compliance standards
• Remove pallet coverings (nets and polythene) safely
• Comply with employee responsibilities to Health & Safety regulations
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, including FOD removal and housekeeping
• Ensure all equipment is fuelled or charged for operational readiness
• Assist across departments as required
