Job summary

Builder Depot Limited in Acton is seeking an experienced E-commerce Click and Collect Operative to join our Acton branch. You will pick and prepare orders, check items, and ensure readiness for collection within set timescales.

You will assist customers, load vehicles safely, maintain a tidy Click & Collect area and support other branch duties including stock checks and goods in. A forklift licence is preferred and prior warehouse or merchant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or builders' merchant environment is desirable.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is preferred.
• Customer service experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure orders are checked and ready for collection within agreed timescales.
• Assist customers collecting orders and load vehicles safely.
• Maintain a clean, organised Click & Collect area.
• Manage returns and resolve collection-related issues.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including stock replenishment and housekeeping.
• Support other branch operations and maintain health and safety standards.

Job description

Initial Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm.

Flexibility to work alternative hours and weekends may be required as the service develops.

We are looking for an experienced E-commerce Click and Collect Operative to join our Acton branch.

Your duties will include:

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all orders are checked, labelled and ready for collection within agreed timescales.
• Serve customers collecting orders and assist with loading vehicles safely.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional Click & Collect area.
• Manage customer returns and resolve collection-related issues.

Warehouse & Branch Support

• Carry out general warehouse duties, including stock replenishment and housekeeping.
• Assist with Goods In, stock checks and general warehouse activities where required.
• Support other areas of the branch during quieter periods.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety at all times.
• Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting products up to 30kg.

Customer Service

• Deliver an excellent customer experience and represent Builder Depot in a professional manner.
• Work closely with branch colleagues and the E-Commerce team to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
• Handle customer queries and provide updates when required.

Person Specification:

Experience

• Previous warehouse or builders' merchant experience is desirable.
• Counterbalance forklift experience and licence are preferred.
• Previous customer service experience would be advantageous.
