Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Specialist Level 5 Dyslexia Teacher for a permanent position in Cambridge. You will design and deliver targeted, multi-sensory literacy interventions for pupils with Dyslexia and SpLD, conduct diagnostic literacy assessments, and work with EHCP targets in a collaborative SEN setting.

The role requires QTS/QTLS and a Level 5 (or Level 7) SpLD qualification, with experience in mainstream, SEN, or specialist school contexts.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Level 5 (or Level 7) Diploma / Specialist Qualification in Teaching Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties / Dyslexia.
• Proven experience delivering specialist SpLD interventions in SEN settings.
• Deep knowledge of multi-sensory teaching methods (Orton-Gillingham, Alpha to Omega, etc.).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Specialist Teaching & Interventions: plan and deliver multi-sensory literacy programmes for Dyslexia/SpLD learners.
• Assessment & Tracking: conduct literacy assessments and track progress for EHCP reviews.
• Curriculum Adaptation: adapt resources across the wider curriculum.
• Assistive Technology: promote use of text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and screen-overlay tools.
• Staff Training & Mentoring: share SpLD strategies with staff and advise on dyslexia-friendly practices.
• Parent & Specialist Liaison: build relationships with parents, carers and educational psychologists.
