Job summary

SR2 REC LTD seeks an experienced Dynamics 365 Technical Architect to shape CRM strategy across B2C and B2B channels in a large enterprise environment. The contract is remote and outside IR35.

You will provide architectural leadership, define current-state and target architectures, and drive MACH-aligned, API-first, cloud-native integration with Dynamics 365 and Azure, ensuring governance and ADR artefacts.

Dynamics 365 Technical Architect | Outside IR35 | Remote

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics Technical Architect to support the evolution of a large-scale customer engagement and relationship management landscape. You'll work alongside established architecture and digital delivery teams, shaping modern CRM capabilities across multiple customer channels while ensuring solutions align with wider enterprise architecture standards.

This role requires strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure architecture experience, alongside an understanding of modern MACH principles and complex integration environments.

The Role

You'll provide architectural leadership across CRM and customer engagement services, helping define the journey from existing technology through to a modern target architecture. You'll work across both B2C and B2B services, balancing customer experience, technology strategy, integration and enterprise governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define current-state, target and transition architectures for CRM and customer engagement capabilities.
• Architect Dynamics 365 and Azure solutions supporting omnichannel customer journeys across B2C and B2B environments.
• Establish modern solution patterns aligned with MACH principles, including cloud-native, microservices, API-first and headless architectures.
• Produce architecture artefacts covering system context, integrations, data flows, dependencies and technical decision-making.
• Participate in architecture governance and Technical Design Authority processes, producing Architecture Decision Records and ensuring alignment with enterprise principles.
• Assess and challenge technical solutions proposed by third-party suppliers, providing clear recommendations to delivery and architecture stakeholders.

Essential

• Strong enterprise and solution architecture experience within complex digital environments.
• Extensive architecture experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure, particularly CRM/customer engagement solutions.
• Experience designing omnichannel customer support and relationship management platforms.
• Strong understanding of MACH architecture and modern API-led, cloud-native integration approaches.
• Experience defining CRM architecture and strategy spanning B2C and B2B, partner ecosystems and integrated customer data/insight.
• Experience producing as-is, to-be and transition architectures alongside detailed supporting architecture artefacts.
• Strong architecture governance experience, including Technical Design Authorities, architecture principles and ADRs.
• Ability to independently evaluate and compare solution designs proposed by multiple technology suppliers.

Desirable

• Experience integrating CRM platforms with Genesys Cloud Contact Centre solutions.
• Previous architecture experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of consumer financial services, particularly pensions and/or debt management.
• Experience delivering within UK public sector digital standards, including GDS and Service Standard Assessments.
