This is a key role responsible for shaping how the organisation designs, builds, and operates its Microsoft ecosystem, with a particular focus on Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

You will play a central role in establishing best practices, defining architecture, and ensuring the platform is used effectively across both client-facing products and internal systems.

The Role

As the D365 Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for the Microsoft platform, owning Dynamics 365 end-to-end. You will set architectural direction, support development teams, and ensure the platform evolves in line with business needs.

Initially, the focus will be on Dynamics 365 Customer Service and CRM capabilities, alongside the wider Power Platform toolkit.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Platform

  • Act as design authority for Dynamics 365, particularly Customer Service and CRM
  • Define and evolve platform architecture and best practices
  • Manage environment lifecycle, releases, upgrades, and technical roadmap
  • Ensure strong governance across security, integrations, and data models

Enable Development Teams

  • Support and guide developers, reviewing designs and resolving complex issues
  • Provide architectural input into new initiatives and change requests
  • Champion effective use of Power Platform tools including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Coach teams to build capability across the Microsoft ecosystem

Manage Key Relationships

  • Own relationships with external delivery partners and Microsoft
  • Ensure quality delivery and value from third-party engagements
  • Translate Microsoft roadmap updates into practical recommendations

Support the Business

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams, service desk, and business users
  • Support issue resolution and continuous improvement of the platform
  • Contribute to release readiness and post-implementation support
  • Ensure technical decisions are communicated clearly to non-technical stakeholders
About You
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Service and/or CRM)
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
  • Knowledge of architecture, integrations, security models, and ALM
  • Experience working closely with developers and guiding technical direction
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Desirable:
  • Microsoft certifications (eg, PL-600, MB-230, MB-210)
  • Experience working with Microsoft partners or vendors
  • Exposure to Azure services, Copilot, or emerging Microsoft technologies
  • Background in professional services or similar environments
