Job summary

Woodland Trust seeks an experienced Dynamics 365 and Power Platform developer to design and deliver scalable solutions across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse. The role involves working with third-party suppliers to transfer knowledge, documentation and deployment processes to the internal team.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements, ensure governance and ALM compliance, and maintain high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform.
• Proficient in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, C#, .NET and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of D365 architecture, Dataverse security, governance and ALM best practices.
• Experience contributing to solution design, release management and governance, managing mixed solutions.
• Knowledge of data quality, migration and integration in enterprise CRM.
• Experience working with stakeholders, suppliers and managed service partners; exposure to Customer Insights Journeys.
• Desirable: designing, developing and supporting plugins and custom APIs.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in Computer Science, IT or related field; Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 certifications desirable.

Job description

The Role:

• Design and develop solutions across Dynamics 365, Customer Insights Journeys, and the Power Platform.
• Work with third-party suppliers to ensure effective transfer of knowledge, documentation, deployment processes and technical ownership to the internal team.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with organisational architecture, security, governance and compliance requirements.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, defects and technical debt.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, development standards and operating procedures.
• Share technical expertise and mentor colleagues to build organisational capability.
• Support user acceptance testing, release planning and production deployments.
• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required once a month on average.
• This is a full-time, 2-year fixed term contract.

The Candidate:

• Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience working across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, C#, .NET, JavaScript and Azure DevOps, including pipeline management and deployment.
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 architecture, Dataverse security, Power Platform governance, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices.
• Experience contributing to solution design, technical documentation, release management and governance activities, and with managing a mix of solutions (managed and unmanaged) and custom applications within a single implementation.
• Knowledge of data quality, migration and integration considerations within enterprise CRM platforms.
• Experience working alongside stakeholders, suppliers and managed service partners, with exposure to Customer Insights Journeys or similar platforms.
• Ideally, experience designing, developing and supporting plugins and custom APIs.
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, and Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g. PL-400, PL-600, MB-280 are desirable.
