Job summary

Hillarys is seeking a Warehouse Operative for our Colwick site near Nottingham. This hands-on role covers receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety and service. You will update systems, help with stock control, and contribute to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be detail-minded, IT-capable, and proactive, with teamwork and flexible attitude. SAP knowledge is advantageous, and forklift training can be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Good IT skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Experience or working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Understanding of Health & Safety best practices in warehouse.
• Proactive and flexible attitude across tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a positive approach.
• Physical fitness to meet role demands.
• Experience in warehouse/distribution environment desirable.
• Forklift experience or licence desirable (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and documenting incoming deliveries.
• Safely unloading and storing goods in correct locations.
• Processing contract manufactured goods per procedures.
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Stock control tasks including counting and rotation.
• Updating systems and completing administrative tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and policies.
• Supporting continuous improvement within the warehouse.
• Assisting with general duties and operating warehouse equipment (forklifts where trained).
