Job summary

Booker Group plc in Pontefract is hiring a Warehouse Operations Clerk for temporary cover. The role involves administrative duties in the warehouse, supporting senior clerks and team managers to ensure paperwork and goods flow smoothly.

You will work on Sunday days and rotating Monday-Thursday shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) totaling 40 hours. This temporary post runs until 07 May 2027 with a 1 planned hire and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• You have sound numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience within warehouse chambers is advantageous.
• You are flexible and versatile.
• You are able to produce quality standard of work.
• You have good PC and organisational skills.
• You have the ability to work under pressure and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete clerical functions to keep warehouse activity running smoothly.
• Monitor pick and replenishment control screens for Ambient, Tobacco and Frozen.
• Investigate back orders, suspended orders and replenishments.
• Process Proof of Delivery paperwork.
• Handle paperwork from drivers and receipts.
• Release orders for checking.
• Liaise with goods-in checkers and supply chain.
• Assist in stock counting as required.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation as required.
• Undertake training as required by the Company.
• Carry out other duties to meet business needs.
