Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a Milton Keynes school from November 2026 on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. You will support the class teacher, work with small groups, and help prepare learning materials.

The role focuses on supporting progression, promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding, and creating an inclusive, stimulating environment. A DBS check is required or willing to obtain; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school or childcare settings.
• Positive, proactive approach and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS check and references.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in preparing classroom resources and materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Assist with classroom organisation and daily routines.
