Job summary

Olympus Academy Trust in Abbeywood Community School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated learning support team. You will support students with additional needs, coach individuals or groups, assist with assessment and resource creation, and explore classroom technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, 34.5 hours per week, with a pro-rata salary in the £21k–£22k range, and a pro-rata schedule that fits school hours.

Responsibilities

• Support academic progress of students with additional needs.
• Work with Teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning, enabling students to achieve high standards and make appropriate progress.
• Coach children on a 1:1 or group basis, support assessment and evidence learning, and create learning resources.
• Willing to research and learn technologies that can be used in the classroom and create opportunities for all learners to reach their potential.
