Job summary

Vida Education is seeking Teaching Assistants to support school staff across Lancashire and Cumbria. Roles include assisting with lessons, preparing classrooms, and supporting students 1-to-1 or in small groups. DBS checks and references are required, with cost covered for new applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or at least 1 year experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting with references.
• Confident communication skills and ability to motivate students in 1-2-1 or small group settings.
• Current Enhanced DBS registered with Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS (cost covered).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson
• Preparing the classroom for lessons, including setting up equipment
• Managing behaviour and engaging students in their own learning
• Working with students either one-to-one or in small groups out of the classroom
• Committed to supporting both the teacher and the students to succeed
