Job summary

ARC at Newcastle Racecourse is seeking a Stable Manager to oversee maintenance, preparation and presentation of the racecourse stables, liaising with the Clerk of Course regarding staffing and ensuring that stables are kept to a high standard.

You will be responsible for maintaining documentation, the stables ground and office, handling CCTV, and coordinating with staff from the Hostel/Inn. The role requires outdoor work and adherence to ARC and BHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have stable management experience or similar operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for stables, veterinary treatment box and sample area.
• Maintain stables grounds and surrounding area; manage the stables office and CCTV.
• Liaise with Hostel/Inn manager regarding staff requirements; ensure cleaning to high standard per BHA ARC standards.
• Under Clerk of the Course direction, carry out maintenance programmes; work outdoors in varying weather.
• Follow Health and Safety policies; use equipment and chemicals safely.
