Job summary

Prezzo Italian in the UK is seeking a high-energy Sous Chef to be number two in the kitchen. You’ll support the Head Chef and kitchen team, helping deliver Italian favourites with pride and consistency.

You’ll manage shifts, contribute to stock control, waste and costs, and help create a welcoming, efficient kitchen where the team can learn and grow. The role offers competitive hourly pay (£13.91–£14.94) plus tronc and great perks.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Understanding stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs to support efficient operation.
• Care about food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• Positive, hands-on leader who coaches people and builds a strong kitchen team.
• Understanding that great guest experience starts in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and support the Head Chef in delivering consistent Italian dishes.
• Deputise for Head Chef as needed and help manage the kitchen rota.
• Support stock, waste and cost control to keep the kitchen performing well.
