Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is seeking a proactive Shipping Coordinator to join the Shipping and Commercial teams in Middlesbrough. You will support vessel movements, documentation and customer relationships in a busy port and logistics environment.

The role focuses on coordinating schedules, maintaining records (Destin8) and ensuring accurate invoicing, with opportunities to grow in a hands-on, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, logistics, port operations or a similar commercial support role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communication with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Proactive with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience maintaining records, processing documentation and supporting invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel schedules and distribute updates across Shipping and Commercial teams.
• Maintain shipping and customs records using Destin8 and other systems.
• Support customs clearance and ensure cargo movements comply with regulations.
• Process purchase orders and raise invoices promptly.
• Respond to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring high service standards.
• Provide out-of-hours shipping desk support when required.
