Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Derby-based school in DE74 that is looking to appoint a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time, 8:30am to 4:00pm, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions.

You will adapt activities for different needs, assist with personal care where required, and work closely with the class teacher and support staff to help every pupil access learning in a safe,

Qualifications

• Eligible with Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Alternatively, 6 months+ experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEND.
• Assist with small group interventions and activities.
• Support in classroom and sensory-friendly spaces.
