Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Leeds, supporting young children with complex autism and SEN needs. This role is full-time, five days a week, with a day rate of 120-150 and starts ASAP for a long-term assignment.

You will work closely with the school's SENCo, support emotional regulation, classroom engagement, and inclusive learning. Candidates should have UK school experience and a calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a UK school.
• Experience in SEND role or with SEN children.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support children with ASD, including non-verbal learners and behavioural challenges.
• Work with the SENCo to monitor progress and discuss challenges.
• Support academic and social engagement to promote inclusion.
• Build positive relationships to support wellbeing and development.
