Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across secondary schools within the Advanced Learning Partnership (ALP) in County Durham, UK. You will support pupils in diverse ALP academies, helping them access learning and build confidence, with a regular rhythm of day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities.

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress, deliver classroom and small-group support, and assist with intervention

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• A patient, adaptable and positive approach helps pupils access learning.
• Reliability and a professional attitude are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress.
• Provide classroom support, one-to-one and small-group support.
• Carry out intervention work and support pupils with additional needs.
