Job summary

Thrive Recruitment Group in Exeter is seeking qualified secondary teachers for day-to-day and short-term supply across KS3 and KS4. You will cover classes in multiple subjects, maintain continuity when staff are absent and adapt to different school environments.

Applicants should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and have experience teaching in secondary education, with strong classroom management and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary education.
• Ability to manage a classroom independently.
• Excellent communication with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using school-prepared work.
• Teach specialist subject where opportunities arise.
• Provide general cover across KS3 and KS4.
• Establish expectations and manage behaviour effectively.
• Encourage pupils to participate and complete work.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Adapt confidently to different teaching environments.
• Provide feedback after lessons.
