Job summary

Academics in the UK is seeking qualified Secondary Teachers to support schools across Rotherham with temporary roles, from day-to-day supply to longer placements. You will deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 possible by subject), plan engaging learning, and provide flexible cover in diverse academy settings.

Applicants should hold QTS or PGCE, have experience in secondary teaching, DBS ready, right to work in the UK, and be committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS or PGCE required to teach in UK secondary schools.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum confidence.
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Professional references covering the last 24 months.
• Genuine passion for education and training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable).
• Plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Provide flexible cover across secondary schools and academies.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
