Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Shrewsbury and Telford area. Work is available on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities to move into long-term and permanent roles.

You will provide in-class support for students, including those with SEN, supervise classes and deliver pre-set cover lessons, and support small-group and 1:1 sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school, youth, sport, or care settings.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage teenagers.
• Excellent communication and a professional, resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for students, including those with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD).
• Supervise classes and deliver pre-set cover lessons.
• Support small-group and 1:1 sessions and uphold school behaviour and learning expectations.
