Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Science Teacher to join a Cardiff secondary school. You will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the science curriculum and establish clear expectations and routines.

The role requires strong subject knowledge, excellent behaviour management, and the ability to differentiate for mixed abilities. EWC registration or willingness to obtain and an enhanced DBS are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Science and ability to teach across the secondary curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and classroom presence.
• Ability to plan engaging, well-differentiated lessons and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across the secondary curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Create a positive, safe and purposeful learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Establish clear boundaries and maintain high expectations.
• Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional authority.
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department.
• Support students with ALN/SEN where required.
