Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for a strong Science Teacher to join a large secondary school in Cardiff on a long-term basis with an immediate start available.

You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, support learners of mixed abilities and manage behaviour to create a positive classroom environment. This role requires QTS or equivalent and resilience.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school.
• Confident teaching Biology, Chemistry and General Science.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Able to engage and motivate learners who may be disengaged.
• Resilient, patient and passionate about making a difference to young people's outcomes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will primarily be working with lower ability classes and pupils who can present challenging behaviour, so strong behaviour management skills are essential for success in this role.
